The only Reunion you will ever need to go to

Plans for this afternoon event on Saturday 4th September 2021 are coming along nicely!

This Party in the Park- style event, which will run from noon until 6.00pm, promises to provide a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and staff  from “back in the day”

So far, we have a confirmed marquee, plus a bar (Nene Valley Brewery)

We anticipate a number of food concessions, as well as tea and coffee available throughout the day, and also – yippee! – an ice cream van!  So all of your food and drinks needs will hopefully be met!

More on this as the next couple of months see more confirmations, but please make use of these concessions as they are all generously contributing to the James Rutterford Trust.

As you may already know, we are looking to raise £25,000 for the Trust, and we are hoping to make this event cost-neutral.  We are, therefore, seeking sponsorship from local businesses and other contributors.

The school site will be open throughout the morning of Saturday 4th in order for you to bring along your own gazebos, chairs, umbrellas, parasols  (let’s be optimistic here!), and drop them off before the event officially opens at noon.

It’s important to stress that, with the exception of the Sports Hall toilet facilities, we will not have any access to the school buildings - the event is being held on the bottom field.  We will be also having some porta-loos closer to, for disabled access.

Partners are allowed, of course.

No dogs or other animals, please, with the exception of assistance dogs. If you are unsure, please check with the organisers beforehand.

Parking on the PWS site is limited, but we are currently seeking some overflow parking in the town.  Inevitably, parking and traffic is something that we are very mindful of, and we will, of course, be notifying local residents of the short-term increase in volume of traffic on Herne Road and its environs.

Please car-share if at all possible, and if you’re in Oundle, please consider walking (especially as there is a bar!).  We will be reassuring local residents that we will all be as courteous and respectful as possible re parking and traffic.

There will be disabled parking, but please advise us in advance of your needs, so that we can make appropriate provision.

We will be providing a leaflet with the programme for the afternoon – these will be given out on arrival.

Please come to The Staffroom (the Marquee!) the meet the staff and see the photos that people will be providing – we’ll be providing display boards to enable you to bring your photos of your time at PWS – probably organised by year of entry.

Also, please come along to the Marquee to say hello to Chris Lowe, and hopefully buy a copy of “Telling Tales Out of School” – all the proceeds of which will go to the James Rutterford Trust.

We continue to beaver away in the background to ensure that this will be an event to remember for many years…..in fact, we hope it will be…
